#WWBIC #recordoftheweek #cofnodyrwythnos is Cilix glaucatathe Chinese Character moth, recorded in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, by Rob Hillier. Thank you for sharing your records via #iRecord.

Just uploaded my 100th record to #irecord, which i use for "extralimital records," both in terms of area and species group. Easy to use, often with very efficient verification from experts. 100th record being a Hornet in my aunts orchard in North Wales.

Woohoo! #iRecord data now imported into the @BSBIbotany database - which means I can now start visualising the #urbanflora. Genuinely surprised at how abundant Franchet's Cotoneaster (Cotoneaster franchetii) is proving... 🧐

Join us this Saturday at Sutton Park for their annual bioblitz! We will be running a session using iNaturalist, Merlin and the iRecord app to record wildlife. 🌸🐞🦆 #bioblitz #wildlife #inaturalist #irecord #merlin #suttonpark #birmingham #suttoncoldfield #citizenscience

Get ready for #InsectWeek. We will be sharing lots of photos of the huge variety of insect species you can encounter here in West Wales. So get out there and start recording through the #LERCWalesApp #Irecord or https://t.co/tsXuncnk7S.

It's that time of year when there's just to much to see (and to record). #iRecord Mostly botany + a few invertebrates (bird records separate on #BirdTrack).
Been getting to visit some lovely sites and habitats lately - more of that later on in #WildflowerHour

More magical Moth sightings!
Remember our last Emperor post? She was a female; male's are smaller, with more vivid orange and brown tones in their fore and hind wings and broader antennae.
Wait, there’s more…Who is the caterpillar in photo 3? Comment with your IDs!

If your Sunday includes the company of a delicate little Spitting Spider Syctodes thoracica, please make sure you record in on the national map by sending it via our #iRecord form at https://t.co/FpUNqYkw8K

After my Tawny Mining Bee record at Gibraltar Point (2nd ever record!) 🐝 I've been keeping my eyes peeled for other invertebrates which might fly under radar, to find myself a 1st for Gib. Turns out this hoverfly, Chrysotoxum festivum, is just that! 😁 I wonder what's next 🕵️♀️

Does #irecord make suggestions that some people rely on? I uploaded a Stenamma dubile record for @Chiswick_House and then checked the photo only to see that the app had some better suggestions.
Nope, nope and nope! Neither a vile nor a newt.

Led by @SamAmy3 , also includes import of @inaturalist UK bryo data to #iRecord
Pleased to have a gentle kick up the backside from @sacrevert in the recent Field Bryology. Although signed up an iRecord verifier I have neglected my duty, but have now put this right👍. Very easy and intuitive to use. Seems a useful tool for opportunistic bryophyte recording.

Many thanks to the always brilliant @AshWhiffin for correcting, my then misidentified Silpha strata, and verifying as Silpha tristis. Feedback through verification is incredibly helping in improving ID skills. Verifiers are awesome #iRecord #Entomology
BIS #RecordOfTheWeek is Toothwort, Lathraea squamaria. Thanks to Clive Summers for the record& photo of this parasitic plant in Crickhowell. Record wildlife you see #LERCWalesApp #BISWired #iRecord @BBNatureRecover @WTSWWBrecknock @rwtwales @MontWildlife @cofnod @SEWBReC @wwbic1

#BurnsNight ! If out & about now the sun is shining, you might be lucky enough to spot haggis! They're very likely still to be in hiding though, just in case...If you head out on the hunt for wild haggis record it on our irecord activity! https://t.co/HTnXOkWS1D
