Attached is a copy of the #first_report of the #aids distributed to our #displaced brothers and sisters across various regions of Lebanon, through the initiative #Together_For_Lebanon and which we launched on October 5, 2024.
These aids were secured through both #in_kind and #financial donations from a group of friends, both in Lebanon and abroad, who were moved by the plight of our displaced people, and hope to alleviate the burdens of their displacement resulting from the Israeli aggressions
However, the #gap remains vast, and the needs are immense and diverse, especially with the onset of #winter. For this reason, we will not stop. We will continue our work with determination, love, and commitment, serving our people and our loved ones, with the hope of a dignified #return to our homes, cities, and villages.

The never ending debate in the #aid sector -> #Cash or #In_kind

Cash is better than in-kind, right? Our new WP (with @sandipz @sambnorris, M Singhal) begs to differ. In developing countries prices of essential commodities fluctuate a lot, so giving households commodities instead of cash can increase welfare – by providing insurance. (1/6)

Even though we can't address all the problems, we can do our little best efforts. Lets revive hope and show our solidarity to the community who cared for us once. What should we donate as a first priority #in_Kind ?

#Donate #In_Kind The #DF_AHSN team wants to repair sheds & expand the built-up area to make more space for sick and injured animals. The repair work demands various construction materials. Please help the shelter by donating generously on #donatekart 🙏 https://t.co/yBOOJk6keH
