As mentioned in the study, poor mothers may not be informed enough to make an educated decision. Poor mothers are also required by WIC and medicaid to immunize or lose their food and insurance benefits. Higher income mothers are educated enough to know better and do not have to rely on the state’s poison for profit ultimatums.
