Major new set of features now live at NotebookLM designed to help you learn, brainstorm, and refine your ideas. All using Google's Gemini Pro model. Try them at https://t.co/6hhNSzBcZr Generate study guides, thematic outlines, explainers, and more, based on the notes you've curated. Full list below... Help Me Understand: If there's complicated material in your source that you need help making sense of, copy and paste the passage into a note, and choose this action. NotebookLM will give you a top-line summary of the text, and then a detailed explanation of the passage's meaning. If there is technical language in the passage, NotebookLM will also give you a short glossary with definitions of key terms. Critique: If you're sketching out an idea or a draft of a document, select the note and choose this action, and NotebookLM will effectively turn into a skilled editor, suggesting changes to the grammar, style, and substance of your writing. Create outline: For longer notes, you can use this action to organize your ideas into thematic categories, in the form of a new note. Suggest related ideas: This action is a fantastic tool for brainstorming, particularly if you have a lot of source material loaded in your Notebook. Select a note and choose "suggest related ideas" and NotebookLM will give you a list of related facts or themes from your sources that build on the text in your original note. Citations are included in this response so you can quickly jump to the original source material. Create Study Guide: This action is designed for students and learners of all ages: fill your Noteboard with quotes from sources, saved responses from the model, and your own notes, and when you are ready to review, select the relevant notes and choose "Create Study Guide." NotebookLM will create a new note with a list of central questions to understand the material, and also provide a glossary of key terms with definitions. (If you want answers to the questions, just paste them into the chatbox.) Summarize: If you just want a quick summary of the central ideas in a collection of notes, select the relevant notes and choose "Summarize." NotebookLM will generate a short synopsis in the chat, which you can pin to the noteboard if needed. Combine to Note: This action automatically captures all the text from the selected notes, and combines them into a single new note. You can use this to clean up your noteboard, or easily copy and paste a collection of notes into another app.
