@daviddias @IPFSbot Hey @b_fiive, our little #webarchiving+@IPFSbot project InterPlanetary Wayback made it onto the same graphic as @qri_io! Now we just need to find a way to claw out of the "other" category. https://t.co/LuGrpIWK3L /cc @ibnesayeed @WebSciDL @daviddias #ipwb

This helps solve the Persistence issue of decentralized #WebArchiving as discussed in the "InterPlanetary Wayback: The Next Step Towards Decentralized Web Archiving" * https://t.co/H76XCY2B6y * https://t.co/S3ffOpMOJF #DWeb #IPFS #IPWB

We're excited to announce the first set of public collaborative clusters -- a great way to help improve distribution and data availability of specific datasets in the IPFS Network. Find out how: https://t.co/wogjbjlBSz

@thesquashSH @machawk1 @tobi_lehman @ctbeiser #IPWB is an @IPFSbot-based archival replay system, it doesn't have a built-in capture/proxy system #YET! You can try https://t.co/WGH3NOmQmE (but captured pages will not be automatically pushed to @internetarchive). You can also try https://t.co/iQm5eJXgCi from @webrecorder_io.

@anjacks0n @edsu @edsilv @machawk1 @hvdsomp @juanbenet @IPFSbot @jimpick @IlyaKreymer Yes, it can be used in places where there is a directory structure to work with, but in #IPWB we use name-less, path-less, and purely content-addressable chunks of bytes (in the pure sense of name/location-independent data storage) and Dat is not a good fit in that case.

@edsu @edsilv @machawk1 @anjacks0n @hvdsomp @juanbenet @IPFSbot @jimpick Yes we could, but that's quite the opposite of how #IPWB works. We process WARCs, split each WARC Response record into headers and payload, push them into #IPFS, and store references in a CDXJ file for replay to compose and serve responses directly from IPFS and not from WARCs.

Heading to the @internetarchive for #DWebSummit to present #IPWB, @WebSciDL's take on #Decentralized #WebArchiving using #IPFS. Thanks @protocollabs, @MellonFdn, @NSF, and @ODU for supporting this work. Meanwhile I'll miss @machawk1's #Candidacy #Proposal.

@jasminemulliken @machawk1 @phonedude_mln @tjowens @IPFSbot @webrecorder_io @IlyaKreymer #IPWB was born in @unleasharchives's first #ArchivesUnleashed #Hackathon event in #Toronto. Building a functional archival replay system could have not been possible in one and a half days without the existing #PyWB codebase and active help from @IlyaKreymer remotely.

@jasminemulliken @phonedude_mln @tjowens @IPFSbot @webrecorder_io #IPWB so far is just an archival replay systems without a capture feature built-in, so it is more in line with #PyWB than @webrecorder_io, except it pushes #WARC content into #IPFS. There are plans to make it a truly distributed collaborative capture and replay system though.

A related conversation to implement a distributed #Serverless archival capture and replay system in #IPWB once #IPNS has history (which currently uses DHT with only the most recent URI->Hash mappings stored). https://t.co/nrfvwtr8MP
