Over the weekend, IMPD launched targeted enforcement across Indianapolis to crack down on dangerous driving behavior. These efforts resulted in: •𝟏𝟎 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 •𝟖 𝐯𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 •𝟐 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 Four arrests were made along E 82nd Street where large groups of trucks had gathered to partake in illegal driving activity in a parking lot. Three other arrests occurred on area interstates after officers observed several vehicles partaking in speed contests and racing in excess of 100 mph. IMPD knows how dangerous this behavior is to everyone who uses our roadways. Our enforcement efforts will continue, and we will use every tool available to hold offenders accountable and protect our community.
