#BOTD #Singer #JosephSchmidt 1904 Austrian-Hungarian tenor and actor (Der Liebesexpreß; A Star Fell from Heaven), born in Storozhynets, Austria-Hungary. One of my favourite male singers, tears of joy here, for his wonderful voice! Taken tragically soon.. https://t.co/mOICMwRlcG

(T_T) https://t.co/Oi5NOC7StW #Mozart #DieZauberflöte #JosephSchmidt

#HansMay composed EIN LIED GEHT UM DIE WELT for tenor #JosephSchmidt. But he also wrote #operetta's such as DIE TANZENDE STADT or THE DANCING CITY. The orchestral material was recently bought at an auction by a Swiss researcher and donated to @ZBZuerich . https://t.co/hp9IuPnMTU
