While primarily used for #SpaceWeather and geomagnetic studies, the #keogram technique has been adapted for broader atmospheric and astronomical observations, such as:

Daily Sky Summaries
Long-Term Sky Monitoring
Horizontal Axis: Represents time, progressing from left (earliest, usually dusk) to right (latest, usually dawn).
Vertical Axis: Represents sky position or latitude, typically oriented with North at the top and South at the bottom (in the Northern Hemisphere).
#keogram
A #keogram is generated by extracting a narrow, vertical slice (typically one pixel wide) from a series of sequential images captured by an all-sky cameraor scanning photometer.
These slices are stacked side-by-side to form a composite image.
"#keogram" is derived from "Keoeeit" (or keoitt), an Inuit word meaning "Aurora Borealis."
The technique was first introduced in the mid-1970s by researcher Robert H. Eather & collaborators to efficiently analyze data from scanning photometers & early sky-imaging instruments.
#Equinoxes can also be located in the #keogram, for example the northern-spring equinox from one year ago is about three-quarters of the way up.

The twelve light bands crossing the night sky in this #keogram are caused by the glow of the Moon.
The thinnest part of the black hourglass shape occurs during the #SummerSolstice, when days are the longest, while the thickest part occurs at the #WinterSolstice.
Central columns from these images were then aligned & combined to create this #keogram, with Jan at the top, Dec at the bottom, and the middle of the night running vertically just left of center.
Obviously, the daytime sky is mostly blue, while the nighttime sky is mostly black.
