लेह लद्दाख नगर निगम #LAHDC और संबंधित निकाय स्वच्छता के लिए कई महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठा रहे हैं, जिनमें सौर ऊर्जा से संचालित अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन, कचरे को स्रोत पर अलग करना, रिवाइजिंग करना, खाद बनाना और स्थानीय स्तर पर उपयोग करना, साथ ही 'स्वच्छता ही सेवा' जैसे अभियानों के तहत स्वच्छता ड्राइव चलाना शामिल है, जिससे लेह को एक स्वच्छ और टिकाऊ शहर बनाया जा सके, खासकर ऊंचाई वाले और दूरदराज के इलाकों में।
LAHDC ने एक सौर ऊर्जा आधारित ठोस अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन इकाई शुरू की, जो प्रतिदिन 30 टन कचरे को संसाधित करती है और इसकी सबसे खास बात यह कि ये पारंपरिक बिजली पर निर्भरता नहीं है।
वहां कचरे को स्रोत पर अलग करने पर जोर दिया जाता है, ताकि इसे पुनर्चक्रण और खाद बनाने के लिए भेजा जा सके.!
इतना ही नहीं मल उपचार संयंत्र (Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant) जैसे नवाचार भी लागू किए गए हैं..
@LAHDC_LEH का अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन मॉडल यह सिद्ध करता है कि सबसे चुनौतीपूर्ण भौगोलिक परिस्थितियां भी यदि नीयत साफ और सही हो तो सतत विकास में बाधा नहीं बन सकती हैं। अभिनंदनीय!
