Leonardo and Baykar are equal shareholders (50% each) in the JV, which has its legal and operational headquarters in Italy.

Cingolani wies auf die Beschleunigung des UAV-Programms hin und betonte, dass sie dank zusammenarbeit mit #BAYKAR in nur acht Monaten große Fortschritte erzielt hätten.
Cingolani kündigte an, dass die Montage und Produktion der ersten Mittelklasse-UAVs im April in den Ronchi dei Legionari-Werken im Norden Italiens abgeschlossen sein werde.
Cingolani erklärte, dass die Arbeiten nicht nur Fahrzeuge mit festen Flügeln, sondern auch eine breite Produktpalette einschließlich Plattformen mit rotierenden Flügeln umfassen.
Cingolani merkte an, dass vor der Serienproduktion und dem Verkauf von Hunderten von Einheiten ein etwa einjähriger Test- und Demonstrationsprozess vorgesehen sei, und sagte: „In den nächsten Monaten werden wir die Lande- und Flugfähigkeiten dieser Fahrzeuge unter besonderen Bedingungen demonstrieren.“
