Finally, I posted about TJ and his wife yesterday, but i know they are close with Abbey and her family often coming together at meal times and taking turns at the table. TJ grew up with last years spring litter. Awesome enough, TJ was here many times today and his wife made an extra rare appearance!!!! Super special VIP of the gathering for sure.

Balcony Café official Roll Call. And what a day to do it, everyone showed up to check out the completion of the summer makeover. Some more confused than others but at least they are all accounted for. Last time seeing them all in one day was when Abbey had her new babies. Here we go #LetsGetNutty

So i gotta share this hilarious clip. It first shares who i think lost the tip of their tail the other day. Abby’s son from last spring’s dray, i never named him cuz he split pretty fast and doesn’t come around much. But then Daisy and Jake, the young twins came flying back in shot (they had a case of the sillies this am, you’ll see later) and Daisy did quite a dig in the nut basket for a solid double stack lol Honorable mention, TJ shows up to stare at them like “im not gunna need to come back” 😂 he indeed had to come back.

The story of TJ our loyal friend, and favorite California Scrub Jay. A thread, mostly cuz pictures. Last spring when we set up the Balcony Café sanctuary i tried feeding birds. Well that worked too well and neighbors got pissed so i had to take the feeders down. But only the most loyal friends met then still came to visit me this whole year since. Like TJ. He came to me as a baby just learning to be on his own, grew up, got a wife, and now still visits every day to get cashews and say a sweet chirp hello. This is my first vid of him.
