#DHOpinion In #India, elite imaginations of ostentation and display remain inspired by the cultural practices of late-19th century leisure classes. The #lowerclasses dream, but are pinned down by an #economy that lacks industrial #jobs https://t.co/ljiaXL2AFP

#CCP #China is promoting #animalabuse as a stress reliever for #LowerClasses to vent on. So asking me "WHY", as if there must be a rational answer such as a #virus or #hunger or bad dogs, well, there just IS no WHY that will make you feel as if all is good with the world. It's not a virus/ it's not hunger/ it's not bad dogs, its not dog bites, its not bad people who didnt buy a #license. #BoycottChina/ celebrate #Christmas withOUT focusing on presents. #China is persecuting #Christians as well, so why give #China billions of dollars at #ChristmasTime?

"Regarding the recent #Chinese government's indulgence and even #encouragement of the #killing of #catsAndDogs, its #RefusalToLegislate to #ProtectAnimals, and its #suppression of #AnimalRightsActivists, I talked about it in my article "SPI (Social Progress Index): A Digital Portrait of #China's Totalitarian Society" three years ago. The #CCP regime and those with vested interests deliberately indulge in #AnimalCruelty and provide the #LowerClass with an outlet and target for venting, making #animalcruelty a "#pressureReliefValve" that is conducive to the #stability of its rule. It’s the same reason as indulging in #DomesticViolence and #SexualAssault"

Promoting #untouchability? #Karnataka panel proposes 'Mansumriti' as part of syllabus for all school children. Dr. Ambedkar burned 'Manusmriti' on 21 Dec. 1927, during 'Mahad Satyagraha' to protest against religious ideals that advocate untouchability against the #lowerclasses.

#FoodieFriday-#Pottage have been eaten for #Centuries.Often described as a thick #stew or #soup made from whatever #ingredients come to hand. For the #LowerClasses it has often meant the difference between starving over the long winter months and making it through to the Spring.

@KTHopkins Interesting thing about the #lowerclasses, as far back as the Roman empire, is how they grew into an intractable, pirate class. They became a permanent fixture surviving Rome, the Byzantium ...and beyond Thunderdome! 🚜🚂🎩👹
