NEW: A proposal from fossil fuel giant Enbridge would substantially expand one of the Northeast's largest gas pipelines to bring more gas into the region
The proposal comes as many states are actively trying to cut their fossil fuel dependence https://t.co/HXdaL709pz

Massachusetts is leading the climate fight.
I announced two nation-leading executive actions at @ClintonGlobal’s annual meeting because the entire world should know that.
But that leadership wouldn’t be possible without the advocates, experts, researchers, and educators who’ve dedicated careers to conserving our natural resources.

🚨UPDATE: A second group of #NoNewFossilFuelInfrastructure protestors arrested, after blocking rush hour traffic for almost 30 minutes. @MassGovernor what more will it take for you to listen? This is a #ClimateEmergency and escalation is inevitable.

It was a great day in Dorchester touring this sustainable, affordable housing project with @MassDEP. This project is a great example of how we can cost-effectively decarbonize our communities while also supporting @HeadingHomeInc's mission to end homelessness. #MAClimateWeek

Dam removal supports #ClimateResilience. Many of the 3,000+ dams in Massachusetts are in disrepair & few serve their original purpose. For example, the Holmes Dam in Plymouth was a 200-year-old, 16-ft tall structure that ran along Town Brook & was removed in 2019. #MAClimateWeek

As the climate changes and our cities get hotter, we need to invest in strategies that will cool down communities. Our Greening the Gateway Cities program does just that by improving air quality and reducing energy use and noise pollution. #MAClimateWeek
It’s Climate Week in the Commonwealth & you know what’s great for the climate? More trees! Learn about how our Greening the Gateway Cities Teams help shield our communities from climate-change-driven extreme heat by planting free trees on public space in cities across the state.
