The jaunty music adds to the atmosphere of this story. I particularly like the implication that just because the Macra have been defeated doesn't mean that the culture they have built up over years would suddenly vanish without a trace #DoctorWho #MacraTerror

The pacing of the story has definitely faltered in episode 3. The episode is the Doctor writing formulas on a board while Jamie and Polly wandering around a mine shaft and Ben has an existential crisis #DoctorWho #MacraTerror
Ben is the star of this story. He is usually the guy I would want to go to the pub with and yet in the last ep played the complete opposite of his normal personality. Here he gets to play the conflict between the two and I just wish I could see this one #DoctorWho #MacraTerror

It would have been easy for Michael Craze to have played this as Ben being docile and using all of the standard hypnotised tropes but instead he goes with angry which is a much more interesting choice. I would really have liked to have seen this #DoctorWho #MacraTerror
