Folic acid deficiency presents as a #macrocytic anemia. Treatment for iron-deficiency anemia is daily iron supplementation for 4-6 months. Pyridoxine (vit B6) is given concomitantly with isoniazid (INH) to prevent the peripheral neuropathy associated with INH use.
