The first results of the #photogrammetry are in. We present a part of #Mactar in a beautiful #pointcloud. The schola iuvenes and monument d'auges stand out in this image. Look at the detail of those auges 🤩 We look forward to the #3DModel after @iconem have done their magic 🪄

In 1911 an unsual building was found near the ancient forum of #Mactar The discovery was made by Louis Châtelain, for whom the building is known as the “Édifice Châtelain”. This calls for a new #FindsFriday thread on #LateAntiquity and #Archaeology! 🧶👇 1/6

Currently we are working on the case study of #Mactar. And this city has a famous inscription from #LateAntiquity: The Harvester of Mactar. CIL VIII 11824 = CLE 2 1238 See for the epigraphic corpora the link from @TrismegistosTM: https://t.co/zb55yOetk7 #EpigraphyTuesday 🧵👇 1/6

As announced, we are leaving #Carthage but we are not going too far away. For our next case study we are heading to #Mactar a beautifully preserved site with much to offer🤩 If you know about recent publications on #Mactaris in #LateAntiquity that we should not miss, let us know!

Today a week ago we were visiting #Mactar and #Zama Regia in #Tunisia 🇹🇳 With Moheddine Chaouali as the host/guide in Mactar & Chokri Touihri hosting the part in Zama. The early start, cars leaving at 07:00, was not the best. Even the baker had not yet finished 🥐🥖 his work 😴
