Visited Yushima Tenzin, 14thC shrine in Tokyo dedicated to god of learning. Scholars pray here for success in exams & admission to university of choice. Famous for its plum trees, the shrine is celebrating Ume Matsuri (plum festival) till 8Mar

Went to a tiny neighbourhood cafe today to savour handmade desserts and aromatic Guatemalan coffee and look what I got in return! A brush with small spaces, narrower roads, tiny cafés and how beautifully the Japanese optimise tiny living spaces.

It rarely snows in #Tokyo but today it’s like one of those days when it appears that it will never stop! Kids had the most fun with schools shut and parks turning into snow grounds. The white city looks more dreamy now while the ❄️symphony continues.
