Explored surface area in #MAP4C today with a #Desmos #Polypad investigation into nets. Huge engagement, great conversations & we loved seeing the trial-&-error process as students were sense-making. Students' nets will be the perfect kick-off for tomorrow's lesson!

Over the next 3 days my #MAP4C students will pick a ball, work in pairs, and run three experiments. Drop from various heights and measure bounce height, drop from a fixed height and measure bounce height vs bounce number, roll off a desk and measure height and horizontal distance

This quad, knowing I was teaching #MAP4C fully online, I made 3 primary goals: go above and beyond in connecting with students, develop engaging lessons and assessments, and monitor students' mental health once a week through check in activities. This piece of feedback was nice

@MsPTeachesMath @ADHSMathDept The can is taller to accommodate the aeration, while the net weigh may be less than creamy variety, the height of the frosting may be higher.Over time & depending on how stored, the frosting can deflate slightly.This may give the impression that can is not properly filled.-Cheri
