They constantly suggest Set-Up improvements. THEY ANSWER THEIR DRIVERS’ QUESTIONS. Marcus Dudley does none of these. Him explicitly ignoring Russell’s questions about his pitstop in the Monaco GP cost the driver not only a podium, but also a points finish. He NEVER informs Russell about a specific corner that could be hindering his pace compared to his teammate; the best he does is offer a single lap time. His teammate, on the other hand, is guided through every opportunity. There are multiple instances within any single session in F1 where Dudley prioritizes counting from 5 to 1 backwards OVER answering his driver’s question. Why he is so fixated on counting every number, I do not understand. His primary role is in communication - REPLYING TO QUESTIONS surely must be of utmost priority.
