#marksaplang: Exam scores are in. I am proud of each & every one of you, regardless of whether you "qualified" w/a 3 or above, or not. Just taking the course is a big deal. You are better readers & writers than you were in September '20. Can't wait to see you in #marksaplit.
The scoring of AP Exam multiple-choice questions is complete. There are definitely going to be some perfect scores this year -- while students who attempted to Google the answers lost those points. Here’s a short write-up on what I’m seeing so far: https://t.co/npKQPSts0q.
#marksaplang @MizMarks From this video, I learned that in a rhetorical analysis essay, I am supposed to find the overall rhetorical choices the author makes instead of the specific device the author may make.
Today I learned what an effective claim looks like! Make sure your argument is organized and ALWAYS include evidence to back it up! #marksaplang @MizMarks
#aplangchat #APLang #marksaplang self-scored a timed FRQ3 argument essay, then reflected and justified why they earned the score for each row:
"The sources were my brain and my heart."

APLANG day #2 on YouTube taught me that by reading the prompt, I would be able to deeply enhance my comprehension on the arguments that can be made using the elements in the prompt. #marksaplang

#Google #Jamboard for group annotation: #marksaplang partners each owned a frame plus a chunk of Salman Rushdie's "On Censorship", then presented their work professionally and insightfully. Timed RA tomorrow. We are making big progress! #aplangchat #aplang
#aplang is not only about writing essays. Expand student opportunities to argue with evidence - they can discuss, give speeches, create memes, create & present Google Slides & visual rhetoric - ike this student did in #canva for her #marksaplang "Farewell 2020" project.
Despite remote learning bringing many people success (better grades, better sleep schedule, etc), remote learning is far from great due to the ruining of social interaction that was once in place before going remote. #marksaplang
@MizMarks
I chose this op ed because I found it interesting how much of an impact local news can have on political divisions. It is important to see past political parties, and unite as a society.

In the Op-ED "Learning as meditation in a Zoom classroom" by Iris Bernet, Bernet makes a strong claim that remote learning "is restorative." I chose this op-ed because it relates to my passion for technology and learning. @MizMarks #marksaplang
In this op-ed the author argues why inmates should be the some of the first people to get the Covid vaccine because coronavirus spreads more in prisons and then finds its way outside to infect others. @MizMarks #marksaplang

#marksaplang & I listening to @Trevornoah telling us his story via audiobook and following along with the print text. Thanks @paulasandersrn for the bookmark.
@Trevornoah our 11th-grade AP Language class (in NYC) is reading #BornACrime and we will be tweeting at you this weekend. Hope you reply to us! #marksaplang @JanineWerner6 @WJPSPC
Help support two wonderful #marksaplang students as they and the @WJPSPC community give back this Thanksgiving season. @Katpappasaplang @IAplang @MrPetrotta @JanineWerner6 #wjpsnews
A4C: The last line of the passage leaves us thinking about how we really don't know what the future holds because "were too far away to see." The author has scars from past injuries that he never knew he would have because the future is "too far away to see."

@ethanhill95 Glad to have you drop in. Once you have taken #aplang, you are always in the Lang Gang. #aplang #collabapchat #marksaplang
A2E: The author makes his stories seem positive because he wants to remember them as if it was an experience, not as an accident. He does not want to look at it and say "Oh, what a huge problem this scar caused me" but instead, " Oh yeah, I remember that day!" #collabapchat
