There's been some distractions the last 24 hours, but I'm proud of this Lovato #MMAnalyst from yesterday.
There's lots of people downgrading Mousasi after this win. I'd caution against that. Lovato is *VERY* special and the rarest of BJJ talents in MMA: https://t.co/yB90syX521
What's wrong w/ Pico's development:
1. Improper matchmaking
2. Ground control issues
3. Goldilocks Syndrome re: kind of intensity to apply
4. Not enough meta game
He's NOT done. But to fix the problem, we have to better understand it. It's the #MMAnalyst https://t.co/u0lQMf8hqV
The story of Cejudo at #UFC238 is not just that he dug deep to win. It's that he's been doing it for his entire athletic career. He was seen early in MMA as very much not a sure thing, but he persevered. I tell that story in today's #MMAnalyst: https://t.co/RcEYkYjbyQ
Andy Ruiz's win over Anthony Joshua is historic, so it's important to review the details of how he did it. In short, Ruiz corralled him, took away much of Joshua's jab and employed his left hook in virtually every possible capacity. This is the #MMAnalyst

Is there a lesson to be learned from the losses of young fighters in their 20s being promotionally pushed perhaps before they are ready? Lee, Sage and Anderson are not in the same positions, but their losses are instructive. That's today's #MMAnalyst.

There are lots of fighters who have effective styles. There are far fewer who are effective while having command of precise details. Islam Makhachev has a long way to go, but has shown *exquisite* timing and attention to detail. Here's my #MMAnalyst: https://t.co/cq1EywzoO5
It's your favorite fighter's favorite weekly segment. In this episode, I take a look at what both Adesanya and Gastelum did to put on a Fight of the Year contender, but also the small adjustments Stylebender implemented to win. It's the #MMAnalyst: https://t.co/4EV50CRuB0
This isn't a totalizing comparison, but in key respects that help decide fights it is: Max Holloway is MMA's Marvin Hagler. This is true in several important ways. I make the argument for that in today's #MMAnalyst on #theMMAHour: https://t.co/b5cDnliRYL
I find this a fascinating question and there is reason to believe he could pose serious and unique challenges to Nurmagomedov. Neither fighter has faced one like the other. #MMAnalyst

Pettis is getting love for his KO of Wonderboy, but really, his *gameplan* is what impressed me. In this week's #MMAnalyst, I argue it's the most unique strategy he's EVER employed in a fight. It also tells us something about Wonderboy's vulernability: https://t.co/oPJ433UUoj
So, the #MMAnalyst got cut off with the loss of the live stream on today's #theMMAHour. Good news is it was recorded and will be uploaded on YouTube on @MMAFighting's YouTube channel as normal.
Don't let "three piece and a soda" fool you. Yes, Masvidal doesn't play games, but he's not just a street tough guy. In fact, when you examine the evidence, you'll notice he uses tactics that only UFC champions successfully employ. I show that on the #MMAnalyst:

Tomorrow's #MMAnalyst is (likely) going to be one of the most important I've done to date. I'm very excited about presenting the case for it on @MMAFighting. #TheMMAHour
It turned out Kamaru Usman was a bad matchup for Tyron Woodley. How predictable was that? Given MMA's unpredictability, very. And the way Usman got it done wasn't overly sophisticated. Here's my assessment on the #MMAnalyst: https://t.co/OGgEcTH9rG
I legitimately believe I've found something in the Askren-Lawler stoppage by Dean that no one has discussed or noticed. I've got the evidence. I'll share it on today's #MMAnalyst on #theMMAHour. No, I am not trolling.
Shouts to all those who watch the #MMAnalyst on #TheMMAHour. Shouts to all of the critics, too. This one's for y'all.
Marlon Moraes's #UFCFortaleza performance was smart and complete (his coach called it 'decisive violence'), so I decided to take a deeper look at what made it special. That and more on today's #MMAnalyst from #themmahour. https://t.co/6Cus7myYqi
There's a valuable lesson in Cerrone's win: modern advances in fighting aren't better by virtue of being newer. More conventional tools are often the best choice, especially when backed by high technical proficiency. #mmanalyst #theMMAHour
