During today’s music festival to celebrate our current headteacher’s last week in school, one of my students used LAMP WFL to say “isn’t she leaving”. When asked by his TA if he meant it cheekily, he smirked. Headteacher was highly amused! #ModelAAC @LiberatorLtd @AceCentre

Another example of #modeling #AAC at home while doing every day activities! Remember: It doesn’t have to be perfect! You don’t have to model EVERY word! Start small! Encourage communication, don’t require it! You can do this! #aacslp #modelaac #elearning @WindsorWildcats

We talk to infants during their early years exposing them to language without any expectation of having them reply. Let’s do the same for our AAC children. Model, model, model...then model some more! #speechandhearingbc #modelAAC
