📌 MEMBERS' NOTICE: LOCKED OUT:- THE BAR MUZZLED AT THE NEW LAW YEAR DAY AGAIN!!! Comrades, it is Deja vu of the 2025 New Law Year Event again. Our voices are being silenced again. @ug_lawsociety has been denied audience at the 2026 New Law Year Event scheduled for the 5th day of February 2026. They know we won't be silent on; 1. The Over-militarisation of Politics - the Erosion of democracy and the thinning civic space in the country. 2. The Judicialisation of impunity and autocracy: the role of the Court in undermining democracy and rule of law. 3. The state of the Rule of Law and continued military siege at Magere - the missing Ugandans and the and the fate of hundreds of political prisoners in detention. 4. The over 15Bn lost for everyday of the internet shutdown / media blackout - who is responsible? 5. The current uncertainty of the civillians not yet transferred to the civillian court, which way? 6. The 250Bn lost on the BVVK machines that failed work - no sanctions - no refund - no resgnation. 7. The recent Judicial Appointments - unanswered questions & the dreaded conversations on Cadreship over Merit. #BangTheTable #BackOnTrack
