97 counties moved their registration records to the #ncsbe system circa 2000-2003, Wake, Guilford and Mecklenburg in 2005. A rocky transition. I voted in Orange County 1971-84 then in Wake since then. I still have an Orange County record online albeit “removed” status, with a different NCID

Wake Co had to reject 2.5% of absentee ballots because inner envelope was not sealed although outer envelope was sealed. Cumberland Co worse as 4.6% of ballots (6/129) were rejected for that reason. All due to a Sept 4 directive from #ncsbe that local boards must enforce.

Wake Co Board of Elections approved 1,671 civilian absentee ballots at 9/29 board meeting, but 42 ballots had been rejected and new ballot packets reissued due to voter failing to seal inner envelope in return package. This is 2.5% of all ballots submitted. If you are voting by mail PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE follow all instructions (prior to Sept 4 policy update by State Board of Elections these 42 ballots likely would have been accepted.)

The NC elections board has the names of 1,600 potential noncitizens on its voter rolls from a federal database. But it apparently hasn't tried to contact any of them. The board had not yet shared the names with county boards as of Sept. 11. #ncsbe https://t.co/d80O5u5dQt
More fun NC voter statistics. #ncsbe updates county top-level registration totals each Saturday morning with data files Sunday night. Daily absentee summary statistics files at https://t.co/WcDbNGd5jp have voter totals, as of today 7,848,608. Here are total net registration changes by day the last six weekdays (oldest first)

Daily stats from #ncsbe on NC voted absentee ballots thru Sept 9 is at https://t.co/sYiaRkH9fl
Of the 832 ballots so far, 692 are overseas civilians, 57 military, 83 in-country civilians. In-country civilians likely to be the majority of votes cast within the next 10 days.
Who are the overseas civilians? In the past it's been college students studying abroad, consular personnel, Americans working abroad, and expatriates born in the US whose last residence was NC.

Wake County NC has posted sample ballots, each voter can see theirs at the #NCSBE lookup at https://t.co/xBhx1nYAqL (see mine in images)- Wake has 171 different ballot styles due to overlapping districts, around 69 of these have Raleigh mayor/council elections. All elective offices are on the front of the ballot. Constitutional amendments and bond issues are on both the front and back. You can see a compendium of all 171 ballots and a key of which ballots are in each precinct at https://t.co/AVLJZzodZQ (352 page .pdf)

To celebrate renewing my software license for the STATA data analysis package, I ran the the 2+ million row #NCSBE data file for the NC 2022 general election to show the daily early voting turnout: statewide 2,010,890 votes for the 17 days, 219,169 in Wake Co. See image. Biggest crowds the first day and last 3 days, shortest the Weds-Fri of first full week (days 7-9) also less crowded the first 2 weekends if your county has sites those days.

the March 3 NC primary early voting site list at https://t.co/lgrzcqnDUD and the early voting site search at https://t.co/NE6Des8hcz appear to have had final updates by #ncsbe this afternoon and are ready to use
@ForwardCarolina @BryanRAnderson @NCSBE Would that be the same NCGA that underfunded, understaffed & undermined #NCSBE for years—when led by a respected nonpartisan director? And now that it’s a partisan office, funding magically appears? 🤔
