A student spends 12 years in school, 3 to 5 years in college, and lakhs of rupees on fees and coaching. But after earning the degree, the system often has no answer to one basic question: What jobs is this qualification designed to lead to? - MBA holders apply for Group-C jobs. Engineers apply for clerical positions. - PhD holders compete for jobs requiring Class 12 qualifications. - Freshers are asked for experience, but cannot gain experience without receiving their first opportunity This is a grave education-employment mismatch crisis.
