.@HCTTF joins Congressional leaders in calling for @SecBecerra to extend the #NextGenACO model. With the model set to end in 2021, #NextGenACOs must either go to a lower risk model or exit APMs, greatly impacting delivery system transformation and the move to value-based payment.

Listening again to Boehler's CMMI exit interview w/ @ddiamond and struck by these numbers: @CMSinnovates received 38 LOIs for #NextGenACO in its first year (2016) & 1,050 for its successor, #DirectContracting! I realize these are non-binding and we await the details, but still!

Pointed question by @ClarePWrobel of @HCTTF There are lots of new models at @CMSinnovates but little movement on expanding actuarially cost-saving models like #NextGenACO to the permanent Medicare program (I don't see why we couldn't do #DirectContracting and expand NextGen)
