New #Rajamouli Interview just dropped, straight from #NIFFF 2026 (Switzerland based Film Festival), here's every major thing he talked about:
1. #Varanasi Started off as an Adventure movie, the scale kept on expanding from becoming a multi-regional shoot, Varanasi to Africa to Antarctica, to time-travel into Ramayana Time Period.
2. Today at its core Varanasi is (directly quoting him) "an emotional story of a father-son bond, emotional story of lovers."
3. #BaahubaliTheEternalWar will be in theatres & in "Full-screen IMAX". Now full screen Imax can mean 1.43:1, or it could mean 1.90:1 but for the entire duration. Clarification on which of these comes true wasn't provided in the interview.
4. Eternal War began with Ishan Joshi suggesting what if we explore the afterlife of the gods, how would Baahubali react in the 14 realms of Indian Mythology. After big budgets & a Collab with Alcyde (French Animation Studio) they finally locked the vision.
5. Rajamouli also talked about how cinema for him IS "Big Screen" & also showed his admiration for IMAX. Also reiterating Varanasi as "Filmed For IMAX".
Other than this, he talked little bit about Eega & his earlier projects, but nothing more (or new) about his future movies.
Après #Vermines, Sébastien Vaniček revient aux commandes de #EvilDeadBurn présenté au @nifff 2026 ! Un généreux déluge de tripailles comme on aime ! @MetropolitanFilms #NIFFF

We were delighted to attend the screenings tol support Taiwanese films. Director General Greg Lee also joined the post-screening Q&A for Thunderbolt Fantasy: Sword Seekers, where he shared insights on the cultural significance of glove puppetry as a traditional Taiwanese art form.
During the post-screening Q&A for Dead Talents Society, director Hsu Han-Chiang shared that the film was inspired by Taiwanese urban legends and his own life experiences. In this dark comedy, ghosts must hit their "scaring KPIs" in order to survive in the afterlife. 👻
🎬 A Cure for Wellness shows how health can become control. Festivals like #NIFFF or #Sitges can flip this, using cinema to fight stigma and promote dignity in mental health. True care is community, not coercion.
