When I was arrested the police said “State your full name and date of birth” The informant’s very next question was “Are you aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander?” Almost instinctually, I grimaced & moaned while rolling my eyes to the back of my head and said “No…..” while continuing to mutter under my breath “I’m sick of this fkn bullshit, I probably should be” The 4 scary cops who had cordoned off my street and barged through my front door in the raid - were standing in the front bedroom & couldn’t physically see me in the room opposite, they could just hear their colleague questioning me. As soon as I moaned, as if to complain about answering that question - three of the cops who I had my back to - all started laughing. The lead informant in front of me with his clipboard said “Yeah as you can see, we all think it’s bullshit too” #Discrimination #NotEqual #TwoTierJustice #Law
