#M11 PBE involves cultural preferences and values. PBE should be considered with regards to nutritional therapy of the critically ill (ie specific diets, organic/all-natural ingredients) #NURS751

M10: A CDSS would improve patient outcomes by alerting providers to complete developmental testing at target well visits. It can assist in selecting evidence-based screening tools to complete the testing, help interpret the scoring, make referrals, & follow-up as needed #NURS751

#NURS751 M11: When I think of PBE Vs. EBP, I think of qualitative research vs. quantitative research. Having the potential to co-compliment, PBE informs practice with ethnographical & circunstancial/situational data, while EBP informs practice through controlled experiment data.

M10: For my CPG on stroke prevention, mHealth can help streamline communication between patient and HCP (ie. education, medication teaching). CDS embedded within EHR can help remind HCP's of pt risk factors for stroke and the need for treatment plan modifications. #NURS751 #M10

M11: EBP in Local Anesthetic Systemic Toxicity may include CPG by the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine that don't account for the resource-limited setting whereas PBE would consist of guidelines that consider economic/cultural differences. #NURS751

M9: My CPG is only fairly policy strong - only 4/8 steps are met (1,3,5,6) The CPG is >20 years old & there is tons of new evidence available which significantly updates the recommendations. An updated CPG would need to be done prior to being considered policy strong #NURS751

#M9 the CPG for PD is strong for policy steps 1, 2 only. Steps 3-8 are completely lacking from this CPG. Adding in PD to general depression guidelines were merely an afterthought. More specific intervention criteria is needed for patients to strengthen CPG. #NURS751

#NURS751 M9:My CPG for depression in adults in the PCS is mod strong b/c it explains treatment in detail for different types of depression and when to properly evaluate, next steps if treatment isn’t working along with side effects of medications and how to properly do referrals
