Allowing for the dividend baked in it is yielding almost 6.5%. Not amazing, especially given gilts weren't far off 6% recently😲However 6.5% tax free in an ISA is solid enough🤷♂️
Used part of today's gilts sales to purchase some #NWBD NatWest 9% Pref shares at 145.5'ish, giving a yield ITR of 6.3% after allowing for dividend already "baked in"
Not a compelling yield but should be reliable and safe and 6.3%, tax free in an ISA, is not to be sniffed at🤷♂️
@RidyardMike @felixrandal Same here. Even with the initial 2 yr divi suspension they have been an enormous source of wealth creation. I still hold today, nearly 18 years later, along with #NWBD #SAN and several others.
Impressively, I can currently SELL my #NWBD(Natwest 9% prefs) for 148.08p and BUY them back again at 147.35p ☺️
Annoyingly, the govt. want me to pay stamp duty on it and the miserable sodding brokers want me to pay a commission on both buys and sells-making it not worthwhile🤔

Allowing for the divi already baked in, it gives a solid yield of in the region of 7.4%. Held in an ISA that's obviously a tax free figure
