Every show concept started life as a blank page in front of my face…
A daunting feeling.
#HarmonyoftheSeas was my first #OasisClass entertainment package and strategy for @RoyalCaribbean.
It was time for the BIG TIME.
It was also the first Oasis-class ship built in France, so it was a complex and exciting project — and I have many amazing memories.
My favorite movie as a kid was #Grease, so acquiring the licensing rights and executive producing the stage musical was a big personal achievement. It remains the ultimate Broadway/West End production for the cruise industry, and I was very proud to bring it to Royal.
Then there was the ice show #1887, with its pioneering use of high-power projection and the first-ever indoor drone swarm… plus the creation of a brand-new central character, “The Tempest” (loosely inspired by Doctor Who, as it happens 🤫).
There was also the stunning #Aquashow The Fine Line — a completely new direction for the brand that eventually led to the #Aquadome’s #AquaAction on #IconClass. (I plant my seeds very early… 😉)
And, of course, #Columbus — many people’s all-time favorite. That completely original madcap comedy musical was a special creation. It maximized storytelling, technology, and talent in a way that shaped the next eight years of my time at Royal Caribbean.
That’s when I decided to build the #RoyalCaribbeanProductions operation into the behemoth that it is today.
So yes, I was on #HarmonyoftheSeas… and a piece of me is still there.

Yes, #HarmonyoftheSeas is a special one for sure — my first #OasisClass project for @RoyalCaribbean.
It was such an honor to create content for this historic vessel (the first Oasis Class built in France).
The eclipse experience I created with my friends at #MomentFactory was originally designed as a “palette cleanser” video vignette for the ice show (1887), right before the grand finale.
…It quickly became one of the biggest talking points of the whole entertainment package — and a real show-stopper.
Here’s the “video study” I created to establish the artistic goal and help guide the team.
