18 hours into #OCH24 and we're still going strong!
We did this event for 17 years prior to COVID - in 11 of those years, the date we picked turned out to be the coldest night of the entire year here in Ottawa.

Aside from the wind, the snow, and the cold, there are other challenges when you don't have an indoor place to sleep. The noise never stops. And almost anywhere you are downtown, the lights remain bright throughout the night.

We've crossed the $15,000 mark. That's 60% of our 24 Hours for Homelessness goal, and we're only 35% through the event! Keep it up everyone, you're doing great work!

It's with this in mind that our brave and caring #OCH24 participants are raising money to ensure those supports remain in place.

Our #OCH24 participants are geared up, including Jennifer & Aidan from @UnitedWayEO - if it gets too cold, volunteers will be given a break in the OCH building down the street. And Jennifer is a former nurse, which is comforting to the others!
