At #OICStatCom14, delegates deliberate on the draft OIC-StatCom Programme of Action 2026–2030 under the Strategic Vision of the OIC-StatCom for 2030, setting the strategic direction for the coming five years.
The new PoA aims to strengthen National Statistical Systems by addressing financing gaps, reducing capacity disparities, and accelerating the production of high-quality, timely and comparable data. It is designed to align with the forthcoming OIC Programme of Action 2026–2035 and the global development agenda.

On behalf of H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim TAHA, Secretary General of @OIC_OCI, Ms Farha RAMDZAN, from the Department of Economic Affairs, delivered the opening remarks at #OICStatCom14.
She emphasized the pivotal role of #NSOs in compiling and disseminating official statistics to track progress on the OIC-2025 Programme of Action (#PoA) and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. She further highlighted the active role of OIC-StatCom in facilitating technical cooperation and sharing best practices among Member States, particularly in developing innovative methods of data collection and analysis, including the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
