Senator #Oloriegbe should leave #Moro out of his calculus in #Kwara Senator #Yahaya #Oloriegbe is undeniably an accomplished professional his credentials as a medical doctor speak to a level of intellect and discipline that should command respect. However, his recent statements regarding #Ilorin's supposed political supremacy and the zoning of the next #Kwara State governorship have revealed a troubling disconnect from political reality. It is precisely this kind of rhetoric, one might argue, that underscores why the #Governor was determined to unseat him from the #Senate, he is just unbelievable. Such pronouncements do not befit the office he once occupied. One must ask: who mandated Senator Oloriegbe to speak on behalf of #Moro Local Government, or to dictate where #Moro's political allegiance should lie? More fundamentally, why would a former senator from #KwaraCentral presume to reduce other regions to subordinate status in the Kwara political equation? His decision to include #Moro, a Local Government firmly rooted in #Kwara North, in his calculus of Ilorin's voting strength is both geographically and politically inaccurate. To assume that Moro would instinctively align with an Ilorin agenda simply because of proximity or historical association betrays a profound misunderstanding of the people of Moro. We are Kwara North, and they have always been Kwara North. Our political identity is neither negotiable nor subsumable under any hegemonic #Ilorin narrative. We have always rejected #Ilorin narrative always. History bears this out: #Moro has consistently and resolutely rejected any candidacy imposed from Ilorin. The people of #Moro have never been pawns in someone else's political chess game, and they will not start now. If anything, these recent attempts to frame #Kwara's political future in ethnic and nationalist supremacy will only stiffen their resolve. Such a strategy, I am confident, will fail—Insha'ALLAH. For the record, many of us in Moro supported #BOB during the primaries. That was our choice, freely made. But now that the party has unanimously settled on #SYD as its candidate, we stand firmly behind that decision, nail and tooth. Our loyalty is to the party's final decision, and our commitment is to the progress of #Kwara State. Let me conclude with this: we remain grateful for the leadership of #Governor #AbdulRahmanAbdulRazaq @RealAARahman, whose administration has prioritised development across all senatorial districts. We pray for continued wisdom for him. May Allah bless the people of #Moro. May Allah bless #Kwara North. May Allah bless #Kwara State. And may Allah bless the Federal Republic of #Nigeria.
