When they detect a transaction addressed to Midl’s TSS-controlled vaults, they extract the intent and execute it inside Midl’s VM: an execution environment that runs EVM-style smart contract logic. Validators operate with virtual balances: they mint mirrored assets, execute swaps or contract calls, update states, then burn the virtual balances once execution is complete. After computing the result, validators generate a Bitcoin-native output: a real BTC or Rune transaction sent back to the user. For users, this complexity is invisible: they connect a Bitcoin wallet, sign a normal Bitcoin transaction, and receive native assets back. Midl isn’t an alternative to Bitcoin. But an additional way of how Bitcoin can operate.
