🚨 A well intended piece of advice to global pioneers. At this stage of enclosed mainnet, any pioneer who relentlessly talks about GCV regularly - I mean pioneers on both ends of the spectrum: the supporters & opposers - does so for either of 2 reasons: 1. To milk attention from the community. 2. Has been misled to think that, currently, GCV is the number 1 priority for pioneers to focus on, in order for CT open the mainnet. Number 1 explains itself. So I'll just comment on number 2. Some pioneers like to be adamant & arrogant just to prove their points, no doubt. It takes real emotional regulation to be able to evaluate one's stance with sincerity. This is true for not just the GCV supporters, but also the GCV opposers. Hence, the usual conflicts lol. But I always like to think calmly before I act, so that I don't behave like a cult and unnecessarily create a wrong influence for pioneers. So let us speak objectively to truths that are helpful to Pi Network, instead of being egotistical. - The CT have never said that the unification of price is the goal that the community should achieve before they release Open Mainnet. - I never taught, during the establishment of GCV culture globally, that the goal of GCV is to unify price due to the mainnet's dependence on a unified price before it becomes open. It is clear that the rhetoric of price unification as a catalyst for open mainnet is alien to both the enclosed mainnet goals and the GCV itself. It is a new rhetoric created by pioneers who are not well grounded in the founding ideology of GCV, and just want to do their own thing to acquire & maintain fame. I completely dissociate myself from this new GCV rhetoric, and I encourage every real intelligent pioneer that learnt the GCV teachings properly to spread this article and denounce the new misleading rhetoric anywhere you see it, so that pioneers can channel their efforts into what is relevant for the times. Any pioneer that is averagely intelligent can see from the recent announcement by CT, that we have now entered the last building stages of enclosed mainnet, and our focus should be to speed up apps development, active expansion of the network, more guidance from senior pioneers to inexperienced pioneers, etc. You can promote GCV healthily, but don't mistake it to be your number 1 priority as contribution towards open mainnet. Other more important things need your focus & contribution as a pioneer. Open Mainnet has nothing to do with GCV. Our focus as a community is not the unification of price. This is even impossible, and not part of GCV. The goal of GCV was already achieved long ago. Pioneers, call yourself to order and don't ruin the good legacy you have created with GCV.
