When I started in 1994 I was offered every job I applied for. When I started looking for a new job in 2014, I was told over and over again they were only hiring NPs.
Those who think there is no need for modernization of PA laws only need to start looking for a new job to see how far we have fallen behind.
Asked one of our PharmDs at the hospital today, “Are you required to have a supervisory or collaborative agreement with a physician in order to work here, or anywhere”? The blank look was priceless...then I heard “that’s nonsense”.
