5 months of patching Branston Island so far - not much water left now, but some great birds this year so far...
Bonaparte's, GW Teal, Temminck's, Limosa Blackwits, 100s passage waders, Ibises, tonnes of Geese, BN Grebes - it's surpassed expectations.

In more interesting news….history back on the #colourringed and #flagged #Dunlin that was at #patchbirding for a few days in early May. Ringed in 🇳🇱 at Griend, seen in Mauritania 🇲🇷 and first UK 🇬🇧 sighting 😁

c1500 mixed flock of waders on Garston shore , 1 curlew sandpiper , I reckon at least 500 sanderling and the rest Dunlin and ringed plover and one curlew .

Stopped dead in my tracks when I heard some jangling keys on #patchbirding Sure enough a cracking singing Corn Bunting 😍 Formerly a breeder on patch it’s now a very scarce Spring\Autumn migrant. Brilliant birds and song 👌
