It is crucial to note that increasing the #graphene content above the #percolationthreshold will result in a weakening efficiency of #mechanicalenhancement. Only a tiny amount of large, thin and defect free graphene flakes are needed to achieve high #mechanicalstrength.

When #graphene is added to #polymercomposites the #polymernetwork becomes progressively interconnected as amount of graphene increases. When it reaches a critical concentration or #percolationthreshold, a mechanically effective network develops between graphene and the polymer.
