At least on 2 occasions the position in which I was a reserve candidate was given to a student of the interviewer and as far as I can tell,unlike me,they did not have multiple peer-reviewed publications.Corrosive grapes? Anyone else with similar experiences? #phdforum #phdhell

One of the most difficult things I struggle with is perfectionism and lack of humility. My brain likes to tell me that I’m ‘too advanced’ to be looking for/reading introductory texts then berate me for not doing it sooner. I HAVE to stop falling for that crap. #PhDchat #PhDHell
