#Primary3a went over to Saughton Park to look for real life 3D objects. They found loads!
#primary3a were thinking about the best way to measure each other using a ruler!
#Primary3a worked in groups to create weather wheels. These had to have direction and reflect how the weather was making them feel!
#Primary3a went on a nature walk to look for signs of Spring and to think about how they were feeling.
#primary3a also had to think of advice to give someone who was feeling angry, they came up with yoga, breathing, time out drawing and talking about how you feel.
#primary3a had a great time with the Bounce performers today. They were thinking about feelings and how they could use their bodies to express these feeling. Can you guess what they were?
#primary3a had a great time in the woods today. They were identifying suitable habitats for lots of different creatures, including spiders, beetles and snails.
#Primary3a were looking at wholes and equal and unequal parts of a whole.
For the final part of #primary3a bronze RSPB Wild Challenge, the children were looking around our school to see how well we are providing habitats for wildlife. We scored really highly. Our pond, bird-boxes, plants all went towards these scores.
#primary3a were experimenting with different media to create stunning autumn leaves.
#primary3a were nature detectives today! Some of their detecting found spiderwebs, birdβs nests, slime and mole heaps.
#primary3a weβre making apple crumble today. What a great use of spare apples. They peeled, chopped, crumbled and then ate! Delicious π!
#Primary3a are now experts at tying two half hitch knots. They learned how to do this knot in class, then practiced the skill during Outdoor Learning. They also practiced measuring as well. Look at their knots!
#primary3a were enjoying looking round the woods and finding signs of Autumn.
As part of our RSPB Wild Challenge #primary3a very patiently, because it was tricky, made apple bird feeders. This was part of the helping nature challenge. We have already completed 2 out of the 6 challenges we need to do for our bronze award.
