When trust has been betrayed — saying “I love you” & small gestures of kindness are merely bandaids.
If you are the one that betrayed trust— take accountability, take responsibility for the hurt you’ve caused, & put all energy towards the direct restorative trust #ProperApology
If your partner has caught you in a lie omission or commission, if you do not go full transparency & open access you will put a huge obstacle to rebuilding trust.
Full transparency must be part of actionable proper apology

A real apology should contain words like “I hurt you when ______.” and the number of wrongs disclosed should match or exceed the number of wrongs exposed.
Sorrow is feigned as long as the hurt won’t be named.
Restitution is incomplete as long as wrongs remain buried underneath.
Can they engage in proper apologies & changed behavior in actions is the question? Can they honor the vulnerabilities of their partner? Can they stand in significance & solidarity against the rest of the world with their partner. Then the love is worth it. #love #ProperApology
