If there were ever early signs that Alyssa Thomas was destined to become the WNBA’s all-time triple-double leader, they appeared during her junior season at Maryland. That year, she became the first—and only—player from a Power 4 conference to average at least 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists per game. During the 2012–13 season, the Harrisburg native posted averages of (19.1) points, (10.5) rebounds, and (5.2) assists, recording 12 games with at least 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. She notched two triple-doubles that year, including a 32-point, 13-rebound, 10-assist performance in an ACC Tournament victory over Wake Forest. Thomas added four more triple-doubles during her senior campaign while guiding Maryland to a Final Four appearance. Today, she stands as the ACC’s all-time triple-double leader and shares the record for most career triple-doubles by a Power 4 forward with Stanford’s Nicole Powell. ✨
