There are SO MANY things that could have prevented this. Interlock devices + speed limiters on vehicles, but federal govt is asleep. #ProtectedIntersections with corner islands. #RaisedCrosswalks at intersections that would shock speeding drivers. Speed calming narrow car lanes.

You can educate about how to ride a bicycle through an intersection as much as you want, but if the intersection isn't designed for rider safety, no amount of "education" is "prevention."
