Next in my #QuickfireRound, I really enjoyed @BrainHemingway at @GreensideVenue. What would it be like to have a bombastic great author living permanently in your head? Supremely annoying, obviously, and they have a lot of fun with that concept, but thereโs a serious point too.

Switching genres now to Unstuck On You from @YonderDanceCo. This contemporary dance is themed on astrophysics, and stays true to that high concept: think orbiting planets, the radiance of distant suns, the collapse of a dying star or maybe of the universe itself. #QuickfireRound
Dead Manโs Suitcase at @GreensideVenue is a fun new musical with some great gags and striking moments. The story centres on a man who literally writes his own obituary and fakes his death, and the impact on the people he leaves behind. #QuickfireRound
Next in my #QuickfireRound, I was privileged to see Four Letter Word from @ellasophieclark. I chose it on a whim, and it knocked me sideways - a meaningful, impactful and, dare I say it, important narrative about domestic abuse, wrapped up as a low-key music gig.
Off to a great start with Macbeth: Sleep No More at @theSpaceUK. At heart a fairly conventional Macbeth, but to me it feels somehow modernised. The pace, the metre, the characterisationโฆ all just slightly different from the (many, many) versions Iโve seen before. #QuickfireRound
As promised and/or threatened - todayโs a #QuickfireRound. I have a list of eight shows Iโm hoping to get to, ones I wouldnโt otherwise have time to fit in. No star-rated reviews for these but thereโll be quick responses throughout the day here on Twitter.

Another brief #QuickfireRound. Broke Her at @theSpaceUK is a short, suspenseful, real-time thriller built round many peopleโs worst nightmare: an intruder in their home. Itโs unafraid to ratchet up the tension by going slowly, and the ending grows truly visceral.
I was going to roll on to one more, but I'm too tired to do it justice so I'll come back for that one later in the week. Thanks for following the #QuickfireRound - I've seen so many great shows today which I'd otherwise have missed. Hope you're inspired to see some of them too.
Do Androids Dream Of Electric Friends? at @GreensideVenue is an interesting, innovative play, asking what we need from our friends. There are two humans on stage, and a third character - a kind of next-generation Alexa or Siri - represented by a glowing cube. #QuickfireRound
First in today's #QuickfireRound was Life Before The Line, @lbtl_edinburgh. A revelation this one - a cleverly-constructed, superbly-written script, backed by a strong student cast. At first it's a sweet well-observed high-school love story, where the school happens to be Jewish.
Today weโre having another #QuickfireRound, where I pack in a load of shows I wouldnโt otherwise have time to cover. No published reviews, no star ratings, but instant responses here on Twitter. (Unless I have nothing positive to say, in which case weโll forget I was ever there.)
And last of the #QuickfireRound, also at @GreensideVenue, is Playtime - a surreal, twisted, dark and clever post-apocalyptic story set in a world of overgrown children and deadly toys. So much to unpick with this one.
