⚡️NEW: Video from Yesh Din shows Israeli soldiers hurling clothing belonging to Palestinian women and two girls from Palestinian American Loui Abu Rida’s home in Qusra, in the occupied West Bank on Thursday.
One soldier, standing inside the seized house, tells Loui’s brother, Qusai: “I am the owner.”
🔹Israel has occupied the Abu Rida home and barred the family from it while protecting settlers who established an outpost nearby. Two other Palestinian homes have also been besieged for 12 days now.
🔹Mayor Abdul Azim Wadi said that after seizing Yusuf Abdul Salam’s home, soldiers destroyed his furniture, and threw his possessions from the windows, Maan News reported.
🔹Loui spoke to Breaking Points this morning demanding that U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee, who has called the settlers “Israeli terrorists,” visit Loui in his house and “see what’s going on” for himself. “It’s not enough,” he said, as 10 Palestinians, including two children, remain trapped in their homes.
🔹 Drop Site reported from the village this morning that Israeli forces have sealed roads and cut electricity and food supplies. “There is media attention only on Loui’s home,” Mayor Abdul Azim Wadi told Drop Site contributor Zena Tahhan.“We fear that this siege will become the new reality in the occupied West Bank, that Qusra will be another precedent for all the villages,” Wadi said.

#Qusra siege exposes shared agenda of IDF and settler extremists
When the IDF fails to protect Palestinians attacked by extremists, it is facilitating ethnic cleansing and the government is as culpable as the settlers.
Dalal Iriqat, a political scientist and member of the Fatah Revolutionary Council, a leadership grouping of the political movement headed by Mahmoud Abbas, told The Jewish Independent that Katz’s remarks are a “green light to settlers to attack Palestinians”.
“I only see violence erupting. I don’t see anyone stopping the settlers. Israeli soldiers are protecting them. The international community didn’t do anything to stop this. They are besieged in their own homes, this has been ongoing for a while and nobody has stopped them.” She added that the West Bank as a whole is extremely volatile because of “a continued system of terrorising Palestinians”.
“I’m warning that this will lead to confrontations because people need to protect themselves and deserve protection,” Iriqat said.

Video obtained by Reuters shows Israeli soldiers throwing belongings from Palestinian homes in Qusra, where settlers have besieged houses for more than a week.
The Israeli military said it was checking the incidents.

Watch | After forcibly evicting Palestinian owners from their home in Qusra village, in the occupied West Bank, Israeli occupation soldiers were documented throwing everything out the windows. When asked why, the soldiers replied that they now own the house.
Israel has forced more than 20 Palestinian families out of their homes in the village, telling them to prepare to leave for a long period as the area undergoes a 'security operation,' a claim regularly used to seize homes and land, often handing them over to settlers for permanent takeover.
The horrors the Palestinian families in #Qusra are living through are not isolated incidents. Instead, they reflect the relentless escalation & expansion of well-documented state-backed #israeli settler violence across the unlawfully #WestBank that seeks to displace #Palestinians

When I'm confronted with a current event, whether it's a news report, a commentary, or an opinion piece, I always return to one central question: "Where?"
The recent incident in Qusra, in which Jewish youths erected a shed opposite the home of an Arab resident (which is dismantled by now), is no exception. Once you understand where it took place, you begin to understand its implications.
I'm writing this because I've seen many people express strong opinions without knowing where the event actually occurred.
The house in question is located at a very high point in southern Samaria, built three years earlier. It's not inside Qusra, but rather in an open area between Qusra, Talfit, Jalud, Jurish, Qabalan, and the Qariyut villages (marked in red). It lies roughly 3 kilometers north of Esh Kodesh and Ahia, the nearest official Israeli communities in the Shiloh bloc.
The entire rural, open area I've described is classified as Area B.
My point is simply that people should understand that:
A. This location is not in Area C, but deep inside Area B. (There is, of course, intense disagreement over the Area A/B/C divisions established under the Oslo Accords, but that is not the point of this post.)
B. The house is not inside the village itself, but rather a structure built in an open area far from the village center.
Once you know where, the news becomes much easier to understand.
*******
In the attached video, you can see how the rural landscape of the area changed between 2016 and 2026. Pay attention to Talfit, Qariyut, Jurish, Qusra, and other villages, and especially to the way development has expanded beyond the historic village cores and into the open spaces between them. Notice how the amount of open land has steadily shrunk over the past decade.
Some will see this as natural population growth, while others will view it as a process of territorial expansion. In my view, the scale and pace of the development suggest that it is far more than ordinary organic growth.
At the heart of this area lies Jabal Ayn Ayna, the second-highest point in Samaria. On its summit, the outpost of Tel Talpiot was established (and was evacuated in recent days). It is also located in Area B, not far from the house in question. The friction did not emerge out of nowhere.
To understand the recent events, one must look at the broader picture. The video clearly illustrates how the remaining open landscape has been steadily shrinking due to rapid developments on the ground.
And that is before even considering the growth in the number of Israeli settlement outposts and communities in the surrounding area (such as Rehavam, Netzah Yehuda, Evyatar, and others).
