Excellent internal discussion point about #rPerf ratings for the #Power10 #E1080: Current rPerfs based on #AIX 7.2, which runs in #POWER9 LPAR mode. AIX 7.3 in beta test can run Power10 LPAR mode & so not used in current rPerf ratings. AIX 7.3=will raise the rPerf a little :-)

#PowerSystems POWER9 Enterprise #E980 Server performance: While cross checking the official #rPerf's for the E980, I realised the jump was 8% better than I previously calculated. #POWER8 192 cores to #POWER9 192 core = 38% jump. WOW! The Mid-range #E950 got a 42% jump. WOW!

Yesterday: #POWER9 #rPerf ratings arrived - wow! Roughly, S924 +30% on same core counts in POWER8 Of course, your milage might vary but - wow! Find them in the Systems Performance Report https://t.co/llT8sLvrEv (not in the regular POWER Facts & Features doc)
