🤯Here is a cool case from Belgium that was shared in @JACCJournals case report regarding the use of a 1.5 and 2.0 rotational atherectomy burr to assist in radial artery access.
🪨This patient had no other access points with reported occluded left radio, and severe bilateral femoral disease. Due to this they got right radial access, however, could not advance the sheath. This was due to severe calcification. So they’re used rotational ectomy and were able to complete the procedure from the radial approach by this method. Might seem crazy but nice way to think outside the box to preserve access and complete revascularization.
