These shocking and horrifying scenes document part of the heinous crimes being committed by the #Rapid_Support Forces (RSF) militias against unarmed civilians in #Al_Fashir, while the #Sudanese_army continues to talk about launching a counterattack to make up for its losses.
No Arab or regional country can allow itself to be involved in supporting these terrorist militias, and neither the Arab world nor the regional and international community should remain silent about what is happening in #Sudan.

🟥🟥 The African Union Peace and Security Council condemns and calls for non-recognition of the government intended to be formed in areas controlled by the #Rapid_Support in #Sudan
Press Release | March 11, 2025
The Council expressed its deep concern and unequivocal condemnation of the recent developments in Sudan, in particular the announcement by the Rapid Support Forces (#RSF) and allied political and social forces of the formation of a parallel government in the Republic of Sudan. The Council warned that this action entails a great risk of dividing the country.
The Council called on all Member States of the African Union and the international community not to recognize any parallel government or entity seeking to divide Sudan or rule any part of the territory of the Republic of Sudan or its institutions.
The Council also called on all Member States and the international community to refrain from providing any support or assistance to any armed or political group seeking to establish a parallel government or state entity within the Republic of Sudan.
The Council affirmed that it does not recognize the alleged parallel government or any similar entity in the Republic of Sudan.
The Council reiterated its commitment to preserving Sudan’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, and to peacefully resolve the ongoing devastating conflict, which has caused the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, displacing over 12 million Sudanese civilians.
The Council called on all parties to respond to calls for a ceasefire and to ensure unfettered humanitarian access during the holy month of Ramadan, and to commit to comprehensive peace talks to end the conflict once and for all and restore the unity of the Sudanese state.
The Council also affirmed the African Union’s firm commitment to cooperate with all concerned Sudanese parties to find workable and lasting solutions aimed at achieving lasting peace in Sudan, based on the African Union Roadmap for Resolving the Conflict in Sudan, which was adopted by the Council at the level of Heads of State and Government on 27 May 2023.
It also stressed the need to resume the process of restoring constitutional democracy through the political dialogue organized by the African Union and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), with the participation of political and civil actors, and the implementation of the #Jeddah_Declaration signed by the #Sudanese_Armed_Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on 11 May 2023.
In this regard, the Council stressed the need to give priority to the six pillars of the African Union Roadmap, in particular the call for a comprehensive ceasefire, ensuring humanitarian access, and reaching a rapid political solution to the conflict.
