For My #Disabled #Community I have been a Right Below Knee Amputee 🦿 #RBKA For 6 Years. Being a #RightBelowKneeAmputee comes with some #Advantages & some #Disadvantages, as with Any One who has a #Disability. I am no Different. Those of us who have a Disability learn to Adapt. To Persevere. To Endure Daily Setbacks. But NEVER GIVE Up. Notice I DIDN'T say we're DISABLED. We're Not. We have a DISABILITY. We are in "No Way #Disabled." When I became an #Amputee in 2019, January 31st to be exact, it was NOT a surprise or shock to Me. I had been diagnosed with #Osteomyelitis Osteomyelitis is a bone infection & my right leg below the knee could not be SAVED. This occurred because of a roadside IED during my military career decades earlier. I was involved in this IED explosion. I was the only one in this targeted caravan explosion who experienced an injury. My "Injury" was a Pebble the size of a 5 carat diamond 💎 embedded in my calf 🦵🏿 of that right leg. Army Ranger ¿surgeons¿ decided it was not NECESSARY to go in & extract this pebble. It would have no future repercussions on my life. That SURGEON was Very Very Mistaken. Fast forward to 20 plus years later & this pebble had decided to become TOXIC & Infect my Leg. Not a big deal. I have been/had been through a lot worse. The Doctor said "amputate." I responded LET'S DO IT. THAT'S MY BORING HISTORY OF HOW I BECAME AN AMPUTEE. NOW On To The Reason For This POST. To All The Amputees Or More Specifically to ALL THE PEOPLE WITH A DISABILITY: Your Future will CHANGE. NOTHING will be the "Norm, Normal" any longer. Your Life CAN BE Just As Beautiful, Just As Fulfilling, Just As Bright & ENJOYABLE. NOW I'M SPEAKING SPECIFICALLY TO THOSE WITH AN AMPUTATION BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT I KNOW BEST. The FIRST step in recovery would be: Find A #Prosthetist who is Magnificent At Their Job. A Prosthetist is a #HealthcareProvider who MAKES & Fits #ArtificialLimbs (#Prostheses) for People with Disabilities. The key to #Mobility, having "Great Mobility" & Preventing Further Injury To Your Limb is This Magnificent Prosthetist. The Second Step To Recovery is DON'T GIVE UP. THERE ARE GOING TO BE QUITE A FEW DAYS WHERE YOU GET DISCOURAGED. You GOING to have Days you wake up & don't feel like putting that #Prosthetic 🦾🦿on & Going About Your Day. You're going to be Tempted To Stay In Bed 🛏️. NEVER DO THAT. Use these 🩼👨🏿‍🦽👨🏿‍🦼in the BEGINNING. Then put these 👨🏿‍🦼🩼👨🏿‍🦽ln The Closest!! #Mobility is the End Game, the Result, the Mission, you want to ACCOMPLISH & ACHIEVE. Mobility WON'T COME QUICK. IT WON'T COME FAST. MOST LIKELY IT WON'T BE EASY. Just Don't Give Up Hope. Don't Give Up Working Towards Your Goal. Don't STOP making Every Day an Improvement Over Yesterday. If you have A DISABILITY. I can understand your #righteous #indignation for being treated this way. Here's My life's resume: 14-year #US #ArmyRangers #Veteran Heavily & Deeply involved with THREE #Charities involved in securing #humanitarianaid for #War-#Torn Countries. #RBKA (Right Below Knee Amputee) I work with the HOMELESS. I work with the DISABLED. I work with VETERANS. I work with people in the HUMAN TRAFFICKING Pipeline. FOR 5 YEARS I'VE BEEN FIGHTING WITH INSURANCE COMPANIES TO GET THE PROPER AMPUTATION PROSTHETICS I NEED. I PERSONALLY THINK I'M BEING DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BECAUSE I HAVE AFRICAN ANCESTRY AND I AM A DESCENDANT OF THE PAWNEE NATIVE TRIBE. Does my life experience give me the right to expect I'll be treated differently than other Black People? No. It. Doesn't. It's not really relevant that you're a Hollywood Actor on THIS or THAT TV show OR starring in This OR That Film. What is vitally important is that as a #humanbeing and as an #AmericanCitizen you get the same treatment as our #caucasian friends. IT Doesn't matter WHO YOU are Wendell, it matters that YOU get treated JUSTLY NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE.

For those of you who don’t understand my righteous anger; I’m on 2 TV series, ELSBETH and RAISING KANAN. I’m filming SUPERMAN. Two years ago, I finished the fourth season of JACK RYAN. Last year I finished a run on Broadway in DEATH OF A SALESMAN. Even with my proof of employment, bank statements and real estate holdings, a white apartment owner DENIED my application to rent the apartment…..in Harlem, of all places. Racism and bigots are real. There are those who will do anything to destroy life’s journey for Black folks. When you deny our personal experiences, you are as vile and despicable.

You have no right to a gun. You are not a militia. When you’re talking about your second amendment rights you’re talking about a states right to have what is today the national guard. The modern interpretation of 2A is a ridiculous fraud pushed for decades by the gun lobby.
